Welcome to the new Milk Smart Mama blog!
First, let me introduce myself. I’m Katie: Mama of 2 boys (an almost 3 year old & a 1 year old), wife to a geeky husband, relaxed lactavist, social networking extraordinaire, washer of laundry and crockpot queen. When I’m not writing for Milk Smart Mama, I’m either chasing the babies or working on
The Breast Idea, a group that provides Mom-to-Mom nursing support & discussion (please join us!).
You can expect a little bit of everything - information, great articles, resources, stories, interviews. The breastfeeding journey is an exciting one and all of us at Milk Smart Mama are excited to be part of yours.
I am not a lactation professional, but I am passionate about breastfeeding education (for myself, for you, for all of our sisters that decide to nurse). I will always suggest that if you are experiencing extreme discomfort or having difficulties to seek the assistance of a local IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). Please feel free to contact me if you need help finding someone in your area!
If you have a question or would like to suggest a topic for discussion, just leave me a comment or shoot me an email. Find us on
Facebook &
Twitter, too!
Cheers!
